During the past few weeks High ‘n’ Mighty have been e-mailing, telephoning and visiting yet more dealers in an effort to make sure that when you call your local dealer they will at least have heard about the new DragoRossi boats and Imagine media DVD’s. It's a tough job but we're up for it! This weekend the crew from High 'n' Mighty hit the road again but this time we loaded up our “Dragon Wagon” with some of our demo boats and headed off to the Nottingham to crash the GB freestyle team training weekend and see what UK's finest made of our shiny new demo fleet. We were greeted with plenty of raised eyebrows from paddlers and spectators alike and after varying degrees of arm twisting the following members of the GB freestyle team were coaxed from their shiny plastic tubs into our boats:
John Best - Super nice guy who currently paddling a
Bliss Stick RAD 175
James Bebbington - Riot Air
Lee Pyke - a C1 paddler using a converted Red Fred Twin-Tip).
At first the boats dished out a few spankings since they were so different from what the guys were used to paddling but the boys did really well, especially John Best who was very smooth and controlled. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words so here's a few thousand thousand for you! ;-)
Later Mark Birkbeck turned up (he'd been helping out filming some of the other team members runs on another part of the course). Glenn Burgess (Sales & Promotions Manager @ High 'n' Mighty) and Mark Birkbeck have been friends for years and Glenn threatened to throw Mark in the river if he didn't at least have one run in a Fish so eventually Mark agreed. Rather than simply play at the spot where the training was going on Mark ran most of the course throwing some of the biggest loops, macho moves, blunts and super-fast cartwheels we'd seen that day. Mark was awesome and his run alone made our 400 mile road trip worthwhile.
NOTES:
This story is true. None of the paddlers had any advance warning of our
arrival or time to familiarise themselves with the boats!
All pictures are thumbnails (click for larger version) however we do
have even more images than are posted and print quality version also!
If any of the paddlers featured
would like high resolution copies of these images for the portfolio's then
they simply have to mail Jon Yard (info@highnmighty.co.uk)
with their telephone & snail mail details. Should anyone else be
interested in these photo's (publishers, sponsors etc..) then you are also
welcome to contact us! ;-)
James Bebbington christened our pristine
orange Fish!

John Best joined him in the white one. John
has a really smooth paddling style and he's a really nice guy.

C1'er Lee Pyke wasn't used to sitting IN the
boat. AND then we gave him a paddle with 2 blades!?

Then came "THE BOY". Birky
took no prisoners on his runs.
While the others huddled inside to keep warm he was determined to have fun!

This guy should be called DURACELL - He just
keeps on going & going!!!

Moving down the course in STYLE...

The "looping pool" & the
"muncher"
What's that Mark, one last go on the top
wave? OK, if you insist! ;-)
