Never Say Nevis Again...
Steve Rogers from bread
and butter contacted us about hosting his classic movie. The
film features the late and great Andy Jackson who was sadly lost
shortly after the making of this film. Andy was without question the
most influential figure to ever emerge from the Scottish creek boating
scene with over 150 first descents to his name within Scotland alone.
Andy was the driving force behind this film and without his help it
would never have happened. Long live the memory :-) Click
here for the movie! The film is 10 minutes in length, so please
be patient!

Team HnM interviews & customer feedback
We decided to do a sort of review of our first year in business but
decided that it would be more interesting if we did it through the
eyes of our team paddlers. So here are the first few interviews:
Dan Heyworth
Tim Aldridge
Darren Kirk
Darren "D" Broderick's interview should be on-line soon!
We'd pretty much forgotten about our customer feedback
page. That
was until we received some feedback from a UK paddler who was very
pleased with his DragoRossi Fish. Any other customers that would like
to have their say should e-mail info@highnmighty.co.uk

New movie, new server & web-shop updates
Have you seen Corran's latest web movie?
It is a little controversial but it is great to see better and better footage
of the Squashtail as people (including Corran) are learning how to get
the most from it. The DragoRossi
Squashtail continues to be a favourite with all of the the team
paddlers.
For us, the big news is that our site has been migrated to the DELIMITS
servers as part of our plan to make major updates to the site with the
possibility to buy ex-demo products and other stuff
on-line. That functionality should appear later in the year.
We will continue to fully support our network of dealers and will
not be selling our core products on line with the exception of ex-demo
products. Our extensive demo fleet, which is
spread across the country, means that dealers do not have to stock
every model as a demo boat although some of them do anyway.
Following on from our trip to the Dusseldorf
boat show, we should have some more exciting product news to announce
very soon!

DragoRossi Stinger revisited
Of all the boats from DragoRossi, it has been the Fish, Squashtail
and Mafia that have received the most attention while the Stinger and
Pintail have been somewhat overlooked by many. Recently however, there
has been renewed interest in these two boats, particularly the Stinger
which Corran has described as his reworking of the Disco style of
boat. A boat that was the inspiration for many of the short
"spud" style of boats that have become so popular with today's
paddlers.
In response to all the interest Corran has revisited a page that he
created on his site some time back. Check out the Stinger
in action here.

DragoRossi outfitting explained
Recently we've had quite a
few enquiries asking about the way the outfitting works, it's benefits
over other manufacturers systems and it's removability (for those who
prefer to go for a more traditional system). The DR
system is intended to be a cross between a thigh brace and a lap belt.
The concept, is that rather than using pressure to keep you in your
kayak (super tight) you use its shape and location to literally HOLD
you into your seat. The thighbraces swivel so that they can be
located just about anywhere on the thigh, have three forward-back
adjustments, and then tilt swivel also... This allows them to adjusted
to almost angle and position possible, all the while holding you down
and in the boat (without impeding your exit). And for the odd person
who doesn't like it - the system can be removed / reinstalled in just
a couple of minutes! ;-) Click
here
for a complete description of the system.

Mafia movie from the archives of CJ & CM
We've just posted a brief
(34 seconds only) Mafia creeking movie that
was put together from some old archive clips filmed by our pals Chris
Jones and Chris MacMurray. The
reason for the delay in posting is that we've only recently acquired
the software to convert the original footage into a usable
format.
