Eskimo news - Those CRAZY Germans!

While helping Glenn prepare everything for the LASER weekend at HPP I found time for a quick chat with Jan Kellner from Eskimo about some super cool developments that they have in the pipeline for next year and the forthcoming canoe shows at Salt Lake (USA) and Nurnberg (Germany). Then I checked out the Eskimo blog and found a story which I had to repeat here.....

It seems that Eskimo have modified some of their Cerro's in response to German customers that want to take their dogs for a paddle (on easy whitewater).  This is possible thanks to Eskimo's super tough  blowmoulded plastic which does not require foam support pillars for rigidity like most other plastic kayaks. Check out the pictures below:

Cerro

The 2006 update of a classic whitewater design for bigger water and/or bigger paddlers.

The Cerro is great for instructors and pupils alike. A river cruising design capable of tackling whitewater safely, with ease. Also great for covering longer distances of flat water that are hard work in many of the shorter whitewater designs on the market today.

More volume and the absence of a central foam pillar, thanks to Eskimo’s super stiff blow-moulded plastic, makes for a more spacious interior that is roomy enough for the largest paddlers or for more kit than you could imagine.
