Back in January 2005 Tim approached us about a possible
sponsorship deal.
We had a red Mafia that had been used for a magazine review kicking around and
we offered him a chance to prove himself.
Less than six months later Tim proved himself by convincingly winning the Junior
category of the Liquid Life boater cross event.

Probably my third ever river trip down the Goyt in massive flood and one of my friends decided to run one of the "nasties" (weirs that kill people) and this was before I had ever seen a throwbag so he shot it and I was sat there helplessly watching him being churned around. He finally came out after a minute or so but I had to paddle for ages to get his gear back which he thought was really he was funny. ;-( | |
