Favourite River |
I haven't done much in the way of rivers, but this year this is going to change.
|
Favourite Playspot |
Hurley on three gates or Shepperton on Eight. Nice fast waves with potential for air.
|
Best Canoeing Experience |
The Pre-Worlds in Australia. The feature was not the best, but paddling with those at the top of the sport was something that I will remember in ages.
|
Worst Canoeing Experience |
Team selection 2003. I was in the Muncher in my C1 and I caught an edge and cracked my head on the concrete beside the Muncher. I remember losing a shoe, cracking my helmet and having a swim. When I got back to the car and the story got back to my dad I ended up rushed to hospital where they discovered three vertebra in my neck had moved. I spent most of the night in hospital, but luckily since I was quite young they moved back into place.

Most Embarrassing Canoeing Experience |
There are a few I can remember: the most recent being at the Nene Rodeo
2005. Coming back from traveling and not doing and kayaking for a few
months I got my paddles caught in the grills in the pump pool. Capsized,
couldn't hand roll and almost went for the deck release. Luckily I remembered that Nene is not that deep and could push up from the bottom when I reached the eddy. |
