Home Town

Milton Keynes, and Portsmouth whilst at Uni

Local Playspot

Woodmill Weir in Southampton, but Hurley is the next closest.

Weapon(s) of Choice

Dragorossi Fish.
Hopefully a Mafia soon as well.

Favourite River

I haven't done much in the way of rivers, but this year this is going to change.

Favourite Playspot

Hurley on three gates or Shepperton on Eight. Nice fast waves with potential for air.

Best Canoeing Experience

The Pre-Worlds in Australia. The feature was not the best, but paddling with those at the top of the sport was something that I will remember in ages.

Worst Canoeing Experience

Team selection 2003. I was in the Muncher in my C1 and I caught an edge and cracked my head on the concrete beside the Muncher. I remember losing a shoe, cracking my helmet and having a swim. When I got back to the car and the story got back to my dad I ended up rushed to hospital where they discovered three vertebra in my neck had moved. I spent most of the night in hospital, but luckily since I was quite young they moved back into place.

Most Embarrassing Canoeing Experience

There are a few I can remember: the most recent being at the Nene Rodeo 2005. Coming back from traveling and not doing and kayaking for a few months I got my paddles caught in the grills in the pump pool. Capsized, couldn't hand roll and almost went for the deck
release. Luckily I remembered that Nene is not that deep and could push up from the bottom when I reached the eddy.

Significant Results

9th Male HPP Rodeo 2004
4th Jnr Male Boulters and Nene 2003
GB Team 2004
6th at the Worlds in 2004
